Research interests:

Historical biogeography, phylogeny and evolution of the reptile fauna of the Arabian Peninsula, Northeast Africa and adjacent regions.

 

Current projects:

Molecular phylogeny of the Arabian and East African representatives of the genus Hemidactylus, detection of possible transmarine colonization events and assessing the real diversity of the genus in this region using multiple mtDNA and nDNA markers and morphological characters.
